Mike Hill was born in Marquette and has lived in Marquette and Alger Counties his whole life. He has been in the accounting business since 1980, and became Messiah's Parish Accountant in September of 2016. He and his wife, Joan, have two adult children, Melissa and Jon, both of Marquette. They have all been members of Messiah since 1991.
Mike graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1980 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with an Accounting major. He is a shareholder in the accounting firm of Kroncich, Hill & Associates in Marquette, and has been with this firm since 1985.
He has served Messiah in a number of volunteer capacities over the years, including Congregation Council (serving as Treasurer and Vice President), Finance Committee, Endowment Committee, Fortune Lake Delegate, Sound Technician, Assisting Minister, Reader, and Communion Assistant.
In his spare time, if he ever gets any, he enjoys playing golf, deer hunting, reading, and following his favorite sports teams (Green Bay Packers, Detroit Tigers, and Boston Bruins).
