Pastor Molly Eversoll was born and raised in Clinton, Iowa, and attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. At Luther she double majored in English and Religion and was active in campus ministry and in a small group outreach program. After she graduated, she spent a year doing volunteer service with Urban Servant Corps in Denver, CO. In Denver, she worked at a food pantry and ran an urban education program for youth to learn about homelessness and poverty. After her year of service, Molly moved to Chicago to attend seminary at The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC). During 2017-2018, Molly served as the intern at Calvary Lutheran Church in suburban Fort Worth, Texas. More recently, she has worked for The Center of Christian-Muslim Engagement for Justice and Peace in Chicago. She moved to the Upper Peninsula when she began her call at Messiah in the summer of 2019.
In her free time, Pastor Molly enjoys podcasts, running, cooking and baking, trying new restaurants and breweries, and spoiling her cats. She has one older sister, also an ELCA pastor, who lives with her brother-in-law, three rambunctious nephews, and mother in the Rockford, Illinois, area.
