Messiah Lutheran Church is a community of grace where we live out Jesus' commandment to love God with our whole heart and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We also seek to be a welcoming community for all people. This includes people of every race, ability, sexual orientation and gender identity, ethnic background, economic grouping, religious affiliation, and political persuasion. We do this simply because God created all people in God's own image and Christ Jesus came so all people might have abundant life. We may not always be perfect, but this is our intention--all are welcome!
It's time for Sunday School! Open to young people aged 3 years old through 5th grade, this is a time for them to explore their faith and get to know their peers. Students gather upstairs in the classrooms or in Magnuson Hall before the 10:30 worship service and return to their families before communion. We practice a rotational Sunday School where students learn about one Bible story for a month and engage it through different means - music, games, art, play, etc. In the Fall we focus on the Old Testament and in the Spring we learn about stories from the New Testament. All students are welcome at any time to join in Sunday School, but we appreciate you registering your child so that we can know a little more about them and their needs.
