Pastor Steve trained in physics and mathematics before following God’s call into ordained ministry. He has served congregations in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan, including Immanuel Lutheran in Negaunee, over the past 37 years.
Since retiring from full‑time ministry in 2022, he has continued serving through hospice chaplaincy, guest preaching, and interim pastoral work. A widower, he shares his home in Ishpeming with his daughter Anna and son‑in‑law Patrick; his daughter Sara lives in Manistique. His gentle dog, Autumn, is an occasional ministry companion.
